Recall as Christians we are called to come away from our base selfish nature and out from under the influence of spirits to live ruling with Him from our own spirits.
Because we are called we will be trained to come away from the me, me, me myself and I bondage; for our base nature demands to be worshiped and thought highly of and liked for bad manners and selfish base behaviours but it is not what He wills for us.
On the pathway of healing we can put down our own pain of same sex desire and perception of it and the demands of it to press in and become a Disciple who does not live by the base nature but by the divine nature - put on Christ.
His ways are higher than our ways, “Do not resist one who is evil. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:39) “Love your enemies.” (Matthew 5:44) and pray for those who persecute or curse you."
The truth is we will need to set our mind to decide to live for Him and learn from Him and take a hold of His ways. Yes we will have to work through our deep hurts, grief, rage, anger, bitterness, shame, blame all our emotions and many other issues before we can truly live above ourselves and the spirits of darkness and the ways of the world. But it is not just a calling to the ex-homosexual it is to all who believe and it is a way of life that is possible.
Listen, pain is not a place to pull up and camp at, we cannot use this truth to deny the truth that we are called to a higher place than the lusts of the flesh or the pain of the past and or the gratification of the flesh - "fill your lamps with oil" "walk in the Spirit" "as He is in the world so are we." So if you are in pain keep inviting Him into your pain and stay faithful you will overcome, the flesh is at war with the spirit and the spirits are at war with both our flesh and spirit but He is with us, yeild and yeild and yeild until daylight comes to your darkness, He will give you the victory.
Throughout our whole journey we run this race – this life time race; it will not just be a hundred meter sprint or the eight hundred meters race at a fast pace, but the marathon of life. A life of conforming to the race of righteousness a race we run at all different paces and a race that we are in training to run and to win the prize of eternal life. Yet we have Him as our oxygen, our strength our energy who is Able to cause us to finish the race. Just stay with Him, stay in connection, stay honest, stay faithfu and rely on Him to complete the work He has begun in you.
So lets stop demanding that we just have to have sexual intimacy, we just have to touch and love no we don't just have to live out of our base animal instincts for we can take a hold of a supernatural life.
Let Him breath His supernatural life on your base urges - get off your throne and put down your rod/scepter and let Him take His rightful place and you sit at His feet and listen to the Master Rabbi and learn of Him to become likened unto Him the Rabbi. Let Him be the lover of your soul, let His fresh oil of love bring you strength once again to continue this race.
