He Enables Us To Live Above
How often have we wanted to change someone else to no avail? We've heard it said before and counselors will tell us that we are the ones who have to change first we have to look at ourselves and not look at the other person.
How often have we tried to give up this or give up that or stop this or stop that to no avail? Then how often have we tried to change ourselves and how many times have we sought worldly ways outside of Christ to change but never had any lasting change?
But the good news is:
"For if you are living according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live." Romans 8:1
No works of the flesh can change the heart can change self to free self from self or from strongholds or bondages or bad habits or sin structures or the past or even cause us to discern the heart of sister or brother so and so. But it is only by Blood Covenant that He provides the way (Phil 3:9; Titus 3:5) for no works of the flesh can change our heart it is only by the power of The Spirit of Christ Jesus.
To simplify this I recall years ago I did not enjoy taking the clothes off the line, so I invited Him into this and before I knew it I was taking them off the line and not realizing He was at work to will me to take them off. This is the same with all things He empowers us by Grace to rise above ourselves, the lusts of the flesh the ways of the world and the spirits of darkness.
Truely we have much to be thankful and greatful for AMEN and AMEN.
