"Remember: Jesus is the head of the Church. He is the Covenant head of the body; no Covenant need be made anymore. All the blessings of this Covenant are ours because He has given us an Eternal Blood Covenant.
E.g. a family and or tribe make covenant with another family and or tribe heads and the ancestors receive the blessing of that covenant to the next and the next and so on throughout their generations, never needing to cut another covenant. For the descendants were ‘in’ or part of the original family and or tribe that originally cut or made covenant.
Same as Machebeth was in Jonathan, King David’s covenant partner all the benefits of that covenant were Machebeths.
Jesus made covenant with The Father and we are ‘IN’ Christ and the covenant blessings are ours. Jesus being the covenant head, we now receive the blessing of that covenant... ‘IN Him’ we have. Look at all the ‘IN Him’ and we see what your inheritance is.
All the life of Jesus is ours, all He has we have. We have a new life; we are new creations for in our spirit man/woman in came the life of Jesus. Our old life under the law of sin and death and the power of the enemy can now be continually put to death as we are and became new creations and received the promise of Abraham - The Spirit within us; and a new heart was put in us ... thus becoming new creations ... old passing away and the new imparted by the Spirit Of The Living God." 1. [Malligan, 2005:42]
Knowing we are new creatures is not sufficient enough to maintain abstinence from a lifestyle of homosexuality. We have to daily and for the rest of our lives have the ongoing power of The Spirit to change our heart and to birth us into the newness of life; that is being born again, not only to be made ready/the spotless bride to enter into The Kingdom of our eternal life but that which is available for us today to live above the carnal person, the lusts of the flesh and the devil and the ways of the world.
Daily we need to be built up so as to walk the walk, we have to live by the Word/word, be a doer not just a hearer, put on Christ, gird up the loins of the mind, put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of Christ’s gospel that brings peace and it’s not as bad as you may think living a surrendered Godly life.
When you study the armor, all these pieces of armor are anointed by The Holy Spirit and ministries of The Holy Spirit for our old life to stay under the law of sin and death, thus by knowing what the armor is and wearing it it allows the life of Jesus Christ to be the power that causes us to remain that new creature.
